Most leads do one thing. The BungeeGuard™ does three. Walk your dog, control them in traffic with the short grab handle, and clip them safely into the car — all with the same lead. The shock-absorbing bungee section takes the sting out of sudden lunges from Labradors, German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers and other powerful breeds, while the 360° rotating heavy-duty carabiner clip means no twisted connections and no fumbling at the collar ring. Shock-Absorbing Bungee Section
When a Labrador spots a squirrel or a Husky hits full sprint, the jolt through a standard lead goes straight to your wrist and your dog's neck. The BungeeGuard™'s bungee section stretches to absorb that impact before it becomes a yank — kinder on your joints and on your dog's throat. It's particularly valuable for dogs still learning lead manners, where sudden pulls are frequent.
Dual Padded Handles
The long padded handle at the top gives you a comfortable, cushioned grip for normal walking. The short rubber traffic control handle near the clip end lets you bring your dog in close instantly — at road crossings, around other dogs, or when you need your Rottweiler or Belgian Malinois right by your side without shortening the whole lead. Car Seat Belt Clip
The seat belt buckle clips directly into your car's standard seat belt socket — the same click you use yourself. Connect the lead to your dog's harness, plug the buckle in, and they're secured for the journey. The bungee section provides a small amount of give so your dog isn't rigidly pinned, while still preventing them from moving into the front seats. Works with any harness that has a D-ring attachment point.
Heavy-Duty 360° Rotating Carabiner Clip
The 7cm metal carabiner clip at the dog end is a significant step up from the standard trigger snap found on most leads. It rotates 360° to prevent the lead twisting as your dog moves, locks securely so it won't accidentally spring open, and is sized to handle large, powerful breeds without flexing. The clip opens with a squeeze — glove-friendly and fast in all weathers.

Car seat belt use requires a harness: the seat belt clip attaches to your dog's harness D-ring — do not attach to a collar in the car. In a collision, a collar attachment puts all force on your dog's neck. Always use with a well-fitted body harness.

Not designed for very small dogs: the lead length, bungee tension, and carabiner clip are sized for medium to large breeds. For dogs under approximately 10kg, a lighter lead will give better control.

The bungee is a comfort feature, not a no-pull solution: it reduces the impact of sudden lunges but doesn't discourage pulling. For dogs that pull consistently, pair with a front-clip harness for best results.

Will the seat belt clip fit my car?

The clip uses a standard seat belt buckle tongue that fits the vast majority of UK and European cars. It's the same shape as a regular seat belt. A small number of older or unusual vehicle models have non-standard sockets — if your car's seat belt buckle is an unusual shape, check before purchasing.

Can I use this with a collar instead of a harness?

For walking, yes — attach the carabiner to your dog's collar D-ring as normal. For car travel, always use a harness. Attaching a seat belt to a collar is dangerous — in a sudden stop or collision the force goes entirely to your dog's neck.

How do I use the traffic handle?

Keep the long handle for normal walking. When you need your dog close — crossing a road, passing another dog, entering a building — grab the short rubber handle near the clip end instead. It gives you direct, close control without needing to shorten or wrap the lead around your hand.

Is this suitable for large, strong dogs?

Yes — it's built for medium to large breeds. The heavy-duty carabiner clip, nylon webbing, and metal D-ring are all rated for powerful dogs including German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Labradors, and Belgian Malinois. The bungee section helps manage sudden force without the lead snapping taut.
