The BloomBell™ is a soft velvet cat collar with a knitted charm and a small silver bell — the kind of collar that makes your cat look like a character rather than just a pet. Choose from four Flower designs (a daisy-style knitted bloom in Pink, Green, Teal, or Cream) or four Bunny designs (a knitted rabbit face with bow in Pink, Blue, Yellow, or Beige). The velvet band is fully adjustable with a quick-release safety buckle that opens under pressure — so if your cat gets snagged on something while exploring, the collar releases before it can cause injury.
Quick-release safety buckle
The buckle is designed to open under sustained pressure — if your cat catches the collar on a branch, fence, or furniture leg while you're not watching, it releases rather than holding fast. This is the single most important safety feature on any cat collar, and it's the reason most vets recommend breakaway buckles over fixed ones for cats that go outdoors, climb, or explore unsupervised.
Soft velvet band
The band is a soft velvet fabric — gentle against the thin, sensitive skin on a cat's neck. Cats and small dogs with fine coats, like Siamese, Burmese, Devon Rex, or Chihuahuas, are particularly prone to fur-matting and skin irritation under rough collar materials. Velvet sits flat without rubbing, and the soft texture makes it much more tolerable for cats that resist wearing collars initially.
Silver bell
A small silver jingle bell hangs from a D-ring below the charm. It's loud enough to alert wildlife — and household birds or small pets — when your cat is on the move. For indoor cats, the soft jingle also helps you track where they are when they're being uncharacteristically quiet. Honest notes
This is a decorative collar, not a lead-attachment collar. There's no D-ring for clipping a lead — it's designed for free-roaming cats and as a pretty collar for indoor cats or small dogs that don't need a lead attached. If you need to walk your cat on a lead, use a harness instead.
Some cats take time to accept any collar. Even the softest collar can feel strange the first few times. Introduce it for short periods indoors before leaving your cat unsupervised with it. Most cats stop noticing it within a day or two — Maine Coons, British Shorthairs, and Ragdolls tend to adapt fastest; highly active breeds like Bengals and Abyssinians sometimes resist longer.
The knitted charm adds some bulk. The flower and bunny charms are lightweight but three-dimensional — they sit proudly on the collar rather than lying flat. This is part of the aesthetic, but if your cat dislikes things touching its chin or chest, it may be an irritant initially.
Check the fit regularly. The rule of thumb is two fingers fitting comfortably between the collar and the neck. Too tight restricts breathing; too loose risks the collar slipping off or catching on a paw.

Will it fit my cat?
The band is adjustable and fits most adult cats and small dogs. To check the fit, you should be able to slide two fingers comfortably between the collar and your cat's neck — snug enough that it can't slip over the head, but not tight enough to restrict breathing. Most domestic shorthairs, Ragdolls, British Shorthairs, Maine Coons, and Siamese cats fit without issue. Kittens under 6 months may find it too large depending on their neck size.
Is the buckle really a safety release?
Yes — the quick-release buckle is designed to open under sustained outward pressure, so if your cat catches the collar on something and pulls, it releases before causing injury. This is why most vets and cat welfare organisations recommend breakaway buckles for cats that go outdoors or are left unsupervised.
Can I remove the bell?
Yes — the bell is fitted on a split ring that you can open with a fingernail or small flat object. Remove it if your cat dislikes the sound, or if you have an indoor cat who doesn't need it. The collar works perfectly without the bell.
Is it suitable for small dogs?
Yes — the adjustable velvet band fits small dogs with similar neck sizes to cats. Chihuahuas, Toy Poodles, Maltese, and Yorkshire Terriers all fit comfortably. Note that this is a decorative collar only — there's no D-ring for attaching a lead, so for walks you'd need a separate walking collar or harness.
