Dog Shower Spray Gun with Built-In Soap Dispenser — 8 Spray Modes, Indoor & Outdoor

Dog Shower Spray Gun with Built-In Soap Dispenser — 8 Spray Modes, Indoor & Outdoor

Quantity

Not a pressure washer. A multi-mode dog shower spray gun with a built-in soap reservoir and a brass adapter that screws onto either a garden hose or your bathroom shower hose — so the same tool washes the dog in the garden after a muddy walk and in the bath in winter when it's too cold to be outside.

The dog shower spray gun sits in your hand like a garden trigger sprayer. The clear chamber on the underside is the soap reservoir — fill it with diluted dog shampoo, twist the dial on top of the gun to "soap on," and the spray comes through pre-mixed with shampoo. Twist back to "rinse" and you're spraying clean water again. No swapping bottles. No setting the showerhead down to find the soap. One tool, soap-and-rinse cycle, both hands stay on the dog.

The dial on the spray head rotates through eight patterns — gentle mist, wide cone, vertical fan, jet, full shower, centre-only, soaker, and angle — so you can soften the spray for sensitive dogs and ramp it up for thick muddy coats. The brass adapter in the box switches the inlet between a 3/4" garden tap fitting and a 1/2" shower hose fitting.

Why owners switch from a hose and a shampoo bottle

1. Soap and water through the same nozzle. The reservoir mixes shampoo into the spray on demand. You're not balancing a bottle on the bath edge or getting wet hands on a slippery cap — you twist a dial, the soap comes through with the water, twist back, and you're rinsing.

2. Eight spray patterns, picked for the dog you've got. A nervous Cocker Spaniel needs a soft cone or mist. A muddy Labrador can take the jet or the soaker mode. A puppy gets the gentle shower. The dial rotates without taking the gun apart.

3. Garden tap or bathroom shower — same gun. The brass adapter included in the box switches the inlet thread between standard garden hose (3/4") and standard UK shower hose (1/2"). One tool, indoor or outdoor, summer or winter.

At a glance

  • Spray modes: 8-pattern dial — Mist · Cone · Centre · Jet · Shower · Rinse · Soaker · Angle
  • Soap dispenser: built-in clear reservoir on the underside, holds ~100 ml of diluted shampoo
  • Soap dial: twist-to-on / twist-to-off — soap mixes through the spray on demand
  • Inlet: standard garden hose connector + brass adapter (1/2" shower hose / 3/4" garden tap) included
  • Colours: Green · Black · Blue · Yellow
  • Body: ABS plastic with rubber-grip handle and trigger
  • Pressure source: uses your home's mains water pressure — no battery, no pump, no electrics
  • Best for: medium-to-large dogs (Labradors, Goldens, Spaniels, Doodles, Shepherds), garden post-walk rinses, summer pool / paddling-pool washes, indoor bath day in winter
  • Less ideal for: cats (they hate sprayers), very small dogs in the bath (the spray can feel forceful — use the mist mode or stick to PawFoam)
An honest note about "high pressure." A lot of pet shower attachments are marketed as "high pressure." This one isn't a pressure washer — it doesn't have a pump. It uses your home's existing mains water pressure and shapes it through different nozzle patterns. On a normal UK domestic water supply (3-4 bar), the jet mode is firm enough to rinse mud out of a thick coat; the mist and cone modes are soft enough for a nervous puppy. If your home has unusually low water pressure, the spray will feel gentler across all modes — there's no electric boost.

The 8 spray modes — when to use which

  • Mist — fine spray for nervous dogs, puppies, sensitive areas (face, paws, belly). The softest setting.
  • Cone — wide soft spray for general body washing. The default for most baths.
  • Centre — concentrated middle stream for targeted rinsing.
  • Jet — single firm stream. Good for blasting mud out of thick coats and for paw-rinsing after a muddy walk.
  • Shower — multi-stream like a normal showerhead. Best for whole-dog rinsing.
  • Rinse — wide soft pattern for quick all-over rinses without disturbing nervous dogs.
  • Soaker — heavy stream for thoroughly wetting a thick double-coat before shampooing.
  • Angle — angled spray for getting under the belly, between legs, and behind ears without contorting your wrist.

How to set up

  1. Outdoor (garden tap): screw the included brass adapter onto your garden hose end with a standard quick-connect fitting. Click PawJet onto the hose. Turn on the tap.
  2. Indoor (bathroom shower hose): unscrew your shower head from the hose. Screw the brass adapter onto the shower hose's 1/2" thread. Click PawJet on. Turn on the shower (cold or warm — your call).
  3. Fill the soap reservoir: twist off the clear chamber on the underside. Fill with dog shampoo diluted ~1:6 with water (same dilution PawFoam uses). Screw back on.
  4. Wash: spray plain water on the dog first. Twist the soap dial to "on" — shampoo mixes through. Lather. Twist back to "off." Rinse with plain water again.

When you'll actually use it

  • Post-walk garden rinse — autumn / winter mud. Quick legs-and-belly rinse at the garden tap before the dog comes back inside.
  • Full bath in the bathroom — winter, when it's too cold to bathe outside. Brass adapter onto the shower hose, soap reservoir filled, dog in the bath.
  • Garden bath in summer — Labradors, Goldens, Doodles. The whole job out on the lawn with a dog towel ready.
  • After the paddling pool / lake / sea — rinse off chlorine or salt water before drying. Soaker mode through the coat.
  • Car wash bonus use — same product cleans the car. Soap reservoir takes diluted car shampoo. Worth knowing because it pulls double duty for owners with both.
  • Garden plant watering — mist and shower modes are gentle enough for hanging baskets and seedlings if you hijack it on a non-bath day.

If you'd rather a touchless, sensor-activated bathroom dispenser that drops foam onto your hand for indoor baths only, see the touchless pet shampoo dispenser (PawFoam) instead. PawJet is the active spray-and-rinse tool; PawFoam is the calm bathroom counterpart. Some owners have both — one for outdoor, one for the bathroom shelf.

Which colour

  • Green — the universal pick. Reads cleanly against most garden hoses and bathroom fittings.
  • Black — premium-feeling, hides limescale and dirt over time. Best if you want the unit to disappear into a modern bathroom.
  • Blue — neutral, classic. Pairs well with blue garden hoses and outdoor tap colours.
  • Yellow — high-visibility. Hardest to lose in a busy garden shed; brightest in the bath.

Questions answered

Will it fit my shower hose / garden tap?

Yes — both, with the included brass adapter. The garden-hose side uses a standard 3/4" UK / EU quick-connect fitting that works with any common garden hose. The shower-hose side uses a 1/2" thread that matches the standard UK / EU shower hose connection (the same thread your existing showerhead uses). If you've got an unusual fitting, measure the thread of your existing showerhead — if it's 1/2" BSP, PawJet fits.

Is it actually high pressure?

No — and we wouldn't market it as such. The supplier sometimes calls these "high-pressure" but that's misleading. It uses whatever water pressure your home or garden tap delivers and shapes it through 8 different patterns. On a normal UK mains supply (3-4 bar) the jet and soaker modes are firm enough to rinse mud out of thick coats. There's no built-in pump or electric boost. If you genuinely need pressure-washer force, you need a pressure washer — this isn't one.

Can I use it on my cat?

In theory you can connect it. In practice — most cats hate water sprayers, and the noise of the spray is enough to make a cat permanently associate baths with this tool. We don't recommend it for cats. If you genuinely need to wash a cat, the touchless PawFoam dispenser is the much calmer option.

What soap should I put in the reservoir?

Liquid dog shampoo, diluted around 1:6 with water (same as PawFoam). Thick conditioners and creamy or oatmeal-grit shampoos can clog the soap channel — same rule. If your shampoo is on the thicker side, dilute it more aggressively (1:8 or 1:10) and it'll usually flow through fine. For car washing, dilute car shampoo similarly.

How do I clean it after use?

Empty the soap reservoir, refill with plain water, run plain water through the gun in soap-on mode for 10-15 seconds — this flushes shampoo residue out of the soap channel. Dry the reservoir before storage. Don't leave shampoo sitting in the reservoir for weeks; it can dry and crystallise around the dial.

Is it safe to leave outside in winter?

No — like any garden hose attachment, water left inside the body can freeze and crack the housing. After every use, disconnect, drain by holding it nozzle-down, and store somewhere above freezing (a shed, garage, or boot room is fine).

Which colour should I get?

Green is the most universal — works in a garden setting and a bathroom. Black is the most premium-feeling and hides limescale over time. Blue is the neutral classic. Yellow is the loudest and easiest to spot in a cluttered shed. They're all the same product mechanically — pick by aesthetic, not function.
