Works best with similar-sized dogs. If one dog is significantly larger than the other, the bungee arms will absorb differently — it still works well, but pairing similarly-sized dogs gives the smoothest walk.
The bungee stretch is intentional. When both dogs pull at once, you'll feel the resistance increase — that's the elastic doing its job and absorbing shock before it reaches your wrist.
The main rope and bungee coupler connect via carabiner — so if you only want to walk one dog, simply detach the coupler and clip straight onto a single collar.
