DryPaws™ sits under the bowls you already own. The soft top layer drinks in water splashes, drool, dropped kibble crumbs and licked-clean dribbles. The rubber-backed underside grips the floor so enthusiastic eaters don't skate the whole setup into the skirting board. When it's full, wipe or rinse. When it's properly grubby, wash it. When it's dry, roll it up.

Honest bit. This is a soft absorbent mat, not a silicone spill tray. It works brilliantly for drips, drool and splash-out — but after a full knocked-over water bowl, it'll need a few hours to air-dry (or a quick machine-wash). Are bowls included?
No. DryPaws™ is the mat only — it's designed to sit under the bowls you already own. If you'd like a mat with twin stainless steel bowls included, have a look at our MessMat™ silicone feeding mat instead.
How is this different from a silicone mat?
A silicone mat has a raised lip — spills sit on top and you wipe them off. DryPaws™ is an absorbent fabric mat — spills soak into the material. That makes it quieter under bowls, kinder on hard floors, and better for small drips and drool. The trade-off: after a big water spill it needs air-drying time, and it needs washing regularly. Different tools, different jobs.
How do I clean it?
Day to day: wipe with a damp cloth, or shake crumbs off and rinse under a tap. Weekly (or whenever it's grubby): machine-wash cold on a gentle cycle, tumble-dry low or air-dry flat. Don't iron and don't bleach — the rubber backing won't thank you.
Will it slip on tile or hardwood?
It shouldn't. The underside is rubber-backed for grip on smooth floors — tile, laminate, sealed hardwood, vinyl. On very smooth polished marble or a wet surface, anything can slide, so give it a quick press-down after mopping. If your pet is an absolute demolition-eater and drags the whole thing regardless, size up — a heavier mat is harder to shift.
Will it smell or stain?
Only if you leave it. Wet food residue left on fabric overnight will start to smell — that's physics, not a product flaw. Rinse it off the same day it happens and you'll be fine. For stubborn stains (raw meat, pigmented kibble, beetroot-based treats), a cold pre-soak before washing is your friend.
What size should I buy?
Measure your current bowl setup's widest footprint and add 10 cm of margin on each side to catch splash. For a single cat bowl, S is plenty. For two standard dog bowls side-by-side, go M. For large breeds or a bowls-plus-fountain station, go L. When in doubt, size up — the only thing worse than spills on the floor is spills just past the edge of the mat.
Is it safe if my pet chews it?
DryPaws™ is a feeding mat, not a chew toy. The materials are non-toxic, but the mat is not designed to be eaten. Persistent chewers will chew anything — if yours falls in that category, supervise early meals and reconsider if they're actively tearing pieces off. Ingested fabric or rubber can cause a blockage; contact your vet if you suspect they've swallowed any.
