Hard floors only. The hover mechanism requires a smooth, flat, hard surface — it won't glide on carpet, rugs, or rough outdoor surfaces. Works brilliantly on hardwood, laminate, tile, and smooth concrete.
Not a chew toy. The top surface and foam bumper are not designed to withstand sustained biting. If your dog's instinct is to immediately pick it up and chew it rather than chase it, this probably isn't the right toy for them. Best for dogs that paw, nudge, and chase.
Some dogs need a short introduction period — place it on the floor switched off first, let them sniff it, then switch it on while they're watching. Most dogs are hooked within a few minutes.

It works on any flat hard surface — hardwood, laminate, tile, and smooth concrete floors all work well. It will not work on carpet or rugs as the air cushion can't form properly on soft surfaces.

Will it scratch my floors?
The foam bumper and smooth underside are designed to glide without scratching. On very soft or freshly treated wood floors, it's worth trying it in a low-traffic area first to check.
Is it noisy?
The motor produces a low humming sound when running — similar to a small desk fan. It's not loud, but it is noticeable. Most dogs are drawn to the sound as much as the movement, which actually helps engage them with the toy.
