Most cat toys do one thing. PawCoil™ does two — and your cat won't be able to decide which they love more. The accordion honeycomb walls expand into a circular track where the ball rolls endlessly around the channel, diving just out of reach into the folds. Between bats, those same ridged walls make a deeply satisfying scratcher that keeps claws off the furniture.
There's no setup, no charging, and no batteries. Open the box, expand the coil, drop in the ball, and watch your cat figure the rest out within seconds. When you're done, it compresses completely flat — small enough to slide under a sofa or drop in a bag.

⚠ Supervision note
Some cats chew as well as scratch. PawCoil™ is made from non-toxic cardboard so the odd nibble is fine, but we recommend supervised play and replacing the unit if significant pieces are being ingested.
Questions & answers
My cat ignores toys — will they actually play with this?
The ball-in-track format tends to catch the attention of even lazier cats because the movement is unpredictable — the ball keeps rolling and disappearing into the folds without any effort from you. That said, every cat is different. Sprinkling a little catnip into the channel when you first introduce it can help pique their interest.
How big is it when expanded?
When fully expanded it forms a donut approximately 35–40cm in outer diameter and around 10cm tall — comfortably floor-standing. When collapsed it folds flat to just a few centimetres thick, similar to a large book.
Will it hold up to heavy scratching?
Yes — the honeycomb accordion structure is denser than a standard flat corrugated scratcher, so the walls hold their shape well under sustained scratching. Like all cardboard scratchers it will wear over time, but it's designed to take a serious amount of use before needing replacement.
Can I use it on carpet as well as hard floors?
Yes — it works on both. On hard floors the ball rolls more freely; on carpet it slows slightly, which some cats actually prefer as it's easier to trap. The base sits flat on both surfaces without sliding excessively.
What if the ball gets lost?
Any standard 4–5cm cat ball (jingle ball, lattice ball, foam ball) will fit in the channel — so if the included ball disappears under the sofa, a replacement is easy to find. The open inner channel means you can drop a new ball straight in without dismantling anything.
Is it suitable for kittens?
Yes — kittens tend to love it as the ball movement is stimulating and the structure is robust enough to handle enthusiastic kitten play. As with all toys, supervise younger kittens to make sure they're not pulling large pieces of cardboard loose.
