The PawFill™ smart pet feeder holds 4 litres of dry kibble and dispenses portions on a schedule you build in the Tuya Smart Life app — up to 10 meals per day, with up to 36 portions per meal at 6g each. A six-blade anti-clog paddle inside the dispenser breaks up kibble as it falls, reducing the risk of jams. A laser sensor checks that the bowl isn’t already full before each portion drops.
The lid houses a removable desiccant compartment that absorbs moisture from the hopper between refills — keeping kibble dry and crisp in damp kitchens and utility rooms. The schedule is stored on the feeder itself, so feeds carry on running on time even if your WiFi drops. If the mains goes out, 4× AA batteries kick in automatically as backup.

PawFill pairs with 2.4GHz networks only via the Tuya Smart Life app (free, iOS and Android). Most home routers support 2.4GHz, but some newer mesh systems and BT/Virgin hubs default to 5GHz or broadcast both bands under one name. Check your router settings before ordering. If you’re unsure or prefer not to deal with router settings, see PawServe™ — available with a Key Control panel that requires no WiFi at all.
What makes it different
Desiccant lid. A removable desiccant compartment sits inside the lid and absorbs moisture from the hopper as kibble sits. Particularly useful in kitchens and utility rooms where humidity can cause dry food to soften over the course of a week. Replace the desiccant pack as needed.
Laser food-level sensor. A laser sensor inside the dispenser chute checks that the bowl isn’t already full before each portion drops. If the bowl still has food from the last meal, the feeder holds the next portion — reducing the risk of kibble piling up and going stale.
Up to 10 meals per day. More flexibility than most auto feeders in this category. Useful for pets on veterinary-recommended small, frequent meal plans, or for grazing-style feeding spread across the day.
Schedule stored on the feeder. Meal times are programmed into the feeder itself, not held in the cloud. If your WiFi drops or your router restarts, the feeding schedule continues uninterrupted.
AA battery backup. 4× AA batteries (not included) slot in underneath and take over automatically if mains power is lost. AA batteries are widely available — keep a set loaded and your pet’s meals are protected against power cuts.
Worth knowing before you order
Dry kibble only. Wet food, raw food, freeze-dried raw, and semi-moist food will clog the dispenser mechanism. Kibble size 4–12 mm. Very small or very large pellets may not dispense smoothly.
Dual bowl = same portion split, not independent. Both bowls receive portions from the same dispenser chute, divided evenly. You cannot programme different amounts or different meal times for each bowl separately. Two single-bowl feeders is the better solution if your pets need different rations.

Questions
My router is 5GHz — will the app work?
PawFill pairs with 2.4GHz networks only. If your router broadcasts only 5GHz, the feeder will not connect. Most dual-band routers broadcast both frequencies and you can connect to the 2.4GHz band during setup. If your mesh system broadcasts both bands under a single name, you may need to temporarily separate them. If this sounds like more trouble than it’s worth, PawServe™ is available with a Key Control panel that requires no WiFi.
What happens if my WiFi drops?
The feeding schedule is stored on the feeder itself, not in the cloud. If your WiFi connection drops or your router restarts, the feeder continues dispensing meals on time. You just won’t be able to make changes via the app until the connection is restored.
Can each bowl get a different portion size?
No. The dispenser splits portions evenly between both bowls. Independent per-bowl scheduling is not supported. If your two pets need different portion sizes, two separate single-bowl feeders is the right setup.
Does it work with wet food?
No. PawFill is designed for dry kibble only, with a pellet size of 4–12 mm. Wet food, raw food, and freeze-dried raw will clog the dispenser mechanism and deteriorate at room temperature inside the sealed hopper. For a water solution alongside your dry feeder, see PawSip™.
What does the desiccant do and when do I replace it?
The desiccant compartment in the lid absorbs moisture from the air inside the hopper, keeping kibble dry and crisp between refills. Replace the desiccant pack when you notice kibble softening — typically every few weeks depending on your kitchen humidity. Replacement pack dimensions are noted on the included pack; standard silica gel packs of the same size will work.
Does it need batteries to work?
No — PawFill runs on USB mains power day-to-day. The 4× AA battery slot is backup only and activates automatically during a power cut. Batteries don’t drain during normal mains operation. Load them before first use so backup is ready when needed. AA batteries not included.
