Motorized wire lure · Auto & remote modes · LCD speed display · USB rechargeable
Most cat toys move in a circle. This one crosses the room — and your cat has never seen prey flee in a straight line before.
Not a toy. An exercise system.
The PawLure™ is a motorized wire chase system that sends a lure travelling at speed across the full width of a room. The central motor unit clips to a table leg or shelf edge; four corner pulley clips attach to other fixed points — chair legs, radiator brackets, doorframes, corner shelves — and the wire runs between them all. The lure rides the wire, back and forth, at whatever speed you set.
That span is what separates it from every rotating-arm or wand toy on the market. A cat chasing a lure across three metres of open floor is using its full hunting stride. It has to track, anticipate, sprint and change direction — not just bat at something going in circles above its head.
One SKU. Everything included: motor unit, four corner pulleys, wire, lure attachment, remote control, and USB charging cable.
How it works
The motor unit has four controls on the top panel:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Power switch | On / off |
| AM / RM mode | AM = Automatic (motor runs and varies on its own). RM = Remote/Manual (you control direction and speed via the included remote). |
| Speed dial | Adjustable MIN–MAX. LCD display shows current speed at a glance. |
| Sound switch | Enables the built-in mouse chirping sound to attract attention before the session starts — or switch off for quieter play. |
The corner pulleys clip firmly to furniture legs and fixed edges without tools or adhesive — no installation required. The wire threads through each pulley and back to the motor spool. Set up takes around five minutes the first time and under two minutes once you know the layout.
Room configurations
The four corner pulleys let you run different layouts depending on your space:
| Layout | Pulleys used | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Straight line | 1 (motor + 1 anchor) | Narrow rooms, hallways — long sprinting runs |
| L-shape / corner | 2 (motor + 2 anchors) | Living rooms — lure changes direction at the turn |
| Triangle / multi-corner | 3 (motor + 3 anchors) | Open-plan spaces — unpredictable path keeps cats guessing |
| Full room / square | 4 (motor + all 4 pulleys) | Larger rooms — maximum coverage, most complex lure path |
The motor can be positioned on the floor, clipped to a low shelf, or raised — the pulleys redirect the wire to floor level regardless of where the motor sits.

Set-up note
The PawLure™ works best when wire runs are taut and at a consistent height — ankle to knee level for most cats. The more varied the layout (direction changes, slight elevation shifts between pulleys), the more unpredictable the lure path and the more engaged the cat.
Made for indoor cats
Indoor-only cats and cats with limited outdoor time tend to sleep more than their instincts would prefer. The PawLure™ gives them a session of genuine chase play — tracking a moving target, making decisions about when and where to pounce — without requiring you to stand there waving a wand for twenty minutes.
In AM mode the system runs on its own. In RM mode you can join the game from the sofa — adjusting speed or reversing direction via the remote when you see your cat starting to anticipate the pattern. Most cats respond to a change of pace or direction with a fresh burst of focus.
Suitable for cats of all ages. Young cats will go flat out. Older or less mobile cats typically engage at the lower speed settings — the mouse chirping sound alone is often enough to get a senior cat up and moving.
Supervised play recommended
As with all interactive cat toys involving a moving lure, we recommend supervision during play sessions. Store the unit out of reach when not in use.
Questions
What's the difference between AM and RM mode?
AM (Automatic) runs the motor independently — the system manages speed variation on its own and you don't need to do anything. RM (Remote/Manual) puts you in control: use the included remote to change direction, increase or decrease speed, or pause. You can switch between modes at any time using the toggle on the motor unit.
How long does the battery last?
Battery capacity and run time information is being confirmed with our supplier. We'll update this section as soon as we have verified figures. The unit charges via USB.
How large a room does it work in?
The maximum wire span between the motor and the furthest pulley is being confirmed with the supplier. In the images, the system appears to span several metres across a typical living room. We'll update with the confirmed maximum once received.
Will it damage my furniture?
The corner pulleys clip onto furniture legs and fixed edges without adhesive, screws, or permanent fixing. They grip by clip tension and are designed to remove cleanly. We recommend testing the clip on an inconspicuous area first if you're attaching to painted or lacquered furniture.
Can I replace the lure or wire?
We're confirming replacement lure and wire availability with our supplier. If these are available as spares, we'll list them separately. In the meantime, please contact us with any queries: sniff-waggle-and-walk.com/pages/contact-us-1
Is the mouse chirping sound loud?
The sound is designed to attract the cat's attention at the start of a session rather than to run continuously at high volume. It's toggleable — switch it off entirely if you prefer quiet play or if you have other pets who react to it. We'd describe it as attention-getting rather than intrusive.
