Elevated Cat Hammock Bed — Breathable Mesh, Arched Steel Frame, Grey / Coffee / Black

Cats instinctively prefer elevated positions — height gives them a vantage point and a sense of safety. An elevated bed also keeps them off cold or draughty floors in winter, and away from warm floors in summer. The open mesh underneath means air moves around them as they sleep, which most cats prefer in warmer weather over a solid-base or cushioned floor bed that traps heat. Not every cat will use it immediately — some take a few days to accept a new sleeping spot.

Six steps in total: thread the mesh cloth onto the frame bars, splice the upper round pipe sections together, install the overall frame, connect the mesh hammock to the basic support construction, paste the velcro tape to both sides of the mesh cloth, and it is complete. A Phillips-head screwdriver is required and is not included in the box. Most people complete assembly in 15–20 minutes. The instructions are visual (six illustrated steps) — no written manual needed.

The mesh attaches via velcro and can be removed from the frame without disassembling the whole structure. Washability has not been confirmed with the supplier — do not machine wash until you have checked. Spot cleaning with a damp cloth is safe on mesh. We will update this answer once washability is confirmed.

This bed is sized and built for cats and small dogs. The 43 cm sleeping surface comfortably fits a curled cat or a small dog up to roughly terrier size. We are awaiting a confirmed weight rating from the supplier — until that is confirmed we cannot give a precise weight limit. If you have a medium or large dog, this bed is not appropriate — the frame is not rated for that weight.

Designed for indoor use. The powder-coated steel frame is not rated for exposure to rain or sustained damp — it will rust over time if left outside. A sheltered patio or conservatory is fine for occasional use in dry weather. Do not leave it outdoors overnight or in wet conditions.
