The PawTee™ is designed to be two things at once: a genuine retreat for your pet, and something that actually fits in your living room. The wooden pole frame gives it a clean, upright silhouette. The canvas or linen outer comes in three prints chosen for real interiors. The included cushion sits inside on a pentagon base, and the chalkboard nameplate hangs at the peak so you can mark whose it is.

It assembles without tools — poles slot together and tie at the top, fabric drops over the frame, cushion goes in. The whole structure is stable enough for daily use without being permanent. Most owners pick a spot and leave it there; it becomes part of the room.

Worth knowing — sizing

Most cats (up to around 6–7 kg) are well served by size M, which gives them room to turn around and stretch out. Size S suits kittens and small breeds. Size L is the right choice for larger cats such as Maine Coons, or for small dogs like a Pomeranian, Shih Tzu, or Bichon Frisé. Measurements are approximate — allow 3–5 cm variance as stated by the manufacturer.

Cleaning & care

The cushion cover unzips and machine washes on a gentle, cool cycle — air dry rather than tumble dry. The outer canvas or linen cover is spot-clean only with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid hot water and prolonged direct sunlight, which can affect the fabric over time. The wooden poles wipe clean with a dry or lightly damp cloth.

How long does assembly take?
Most people have it standing within five to ten minutes the first time. The poles slot together at the top and are tied with the included cord; the fabric drops over the frame; the cushion goes in. No tools needed at any stage.
Is it stable enough that my cat won't knock it over?
The rubber foot caps grip on hard floors and low-pile carpet. The five-legged base distributes the weight well and the structure is stable under normal use. Very energetic cats who jump directly onto the top of the frame could potentially tip it — for those cats, placing it in a corner provides additional support.
My cat ignores new beds. Will they actually use it?
Cats are more likely to use an enclosed or semi-enclosed structure than an open flat bed, because the covered sides give them the sense of security they instinctively look for. A few tips that help: place it where your cat already spends time; put a worn item of your clothing (or their existing bedding) in the cushion case before first use; don't move it around in the first week. Most cats settle within a few days.
Can I get a replacement cushion?
Contact us and we'll do our best to help. The cushion cover zips off and washes well, which should extend its life considerably.
Is the canvas or linen cover removable for washing?
The outer cover can be removed from the frame, but it is spot-clean only — not machine washable. Use a damp cloth with mild soap for marks. Avoid high-temperature washing and extended exposure to direct sunlight.
What's the chalkboard nameplate for?
It hangs from the pole tie at the peak of the teepee. Write your pet's name in chalk, wipe it off and update it whenever you like. It comes with the teepee — no extras to buy.
