Honest Notes
Spot clean only — not machine washable: The padded base plate and structured frame cannot go in the washing machine. Wipe down with a damp cloth and mild detergent after muddy walks. For pets prone to motion sickness, a small washable liner on the base mat makes clean-up much simpler.
Size by back length, not just weight: A stocky, barrel-chested breed like a French Bulldog may weigh within the range but be too wide to sit comfortably. Always measure from the base of your pet’s neck to the base of their tail and check against the size guide above before ordering.
Not suitable for very young puppies: Pups under around 12 weeks lack the neck muscle control to safely use the head-out opening. For very young or newborn animals, a fully enclosed carrier is safer until they can hold their head up comfortably on their own.

Which size should I order?
Measure your pet from the base of their neck to the base of their tail — size by back length first, weight second. S (20–35cm, 1–3kg) suits Chihuahuas, Toy Poodles, and kittens. M (25–40cm, 3–7kg) fits most cats, Yorkies, Shih Tzus, and Pomeranians. L (35–50cm, 7–12kg) suits larger cats, Cocker Spaniels, Miniature Schnauzers, and lean Frenchies. If your pet is borderline between sizes, go up.
Is the base really firm, or will my dog sag?
The base has a rigid padded plate that stays flat under your pet’s full weight — it doesn’t droop between your shoulders like cheaper soft-sided carriers. This is the feature that matters most on long outings where your pet needs to sit level and supported for hours.
Can they escape from the head opening?
No. The drawstring cinches snugly around their shoulders — not their throat — and the internal safety hook attaches to their harness as a second line of defence. Even if they wriggle or the drawstring loosens slightly, the hook keeps them secure inside the carrier.
My pet hates being carried — how do I get them used to it?
Start with the carrier open on the floor at home with treats inside. Let them explore at their own pace — most dogs and cats start napping in it within a few days. Once they’re relaxed, do short test-carries around the house before your first outing. Maltese, Bichon Frisés, and anxious breeds generally take 2–3 short sessions to settle completely.
Will it fit my French Bulldog?
Leaner Frenchies with a back length under 50cm and weighing up to 12kg will fit Size L. However, wider or more barrel-chested Frenchies may find it a tight squeeze — measure their chest width at the widest point and compare against the L interior width of 24cm before ordering.
