The StrideGuard™ is built for the dog who spots something across the field and goes for it — the padded top handle gives you instant control without yanking the lead, the 3M reflective yarn keeps them visible from every angle after dark, and the weather-resistant build means a wet Tuesday morning doesn't slow either of you down. Honest Notes
Always size by chest, not weight. Weight is a guide only. Measure around the widest part of your dog's chest before ordering. If between sizes, go larger — especially for deep-chested breeds like Boxers or Bull Terriers.
Not a purpose-built no-pull harness. The back-clip design and padded top handle give you control, but this isn't an anti-pull training harness with a front clip. If your dog pulls hard on every walk, a front-clip or dual-clip harness will be more effective during training.
Weather-resistant, not waterproof. The fabric repels light rain well and dries quickly, but it's not designed for submersion. If your dog regularly swims, rinse the harness after each use and dry flat.
Hand wash only. Machine washing can degrade the reflective yarn and warp the adjustment buckles over time. A damp cloth after muddy walks, and a hand wash in cool water when needed.

How do I measure my dog for the right size?
Wrap a soft tape measure around the widest point of your dog's chest — usually just behind the front legs. Match to the chest column above. If your dog is between sizes, pick the larger one, particularly if they have a broad or deep chest. Weight is a secondary guide only.
Does this work for strong or pulling dogs?
Yes — the padded top handle gives you direct physical control in the moment, which is useful for managing a lunge or steering around a hazard. For ongoing pull training, a front-clip harness gives better leverage, but many owners use the StrideGuard™ day-to-day and reach for the top handle when they need it.
Is it suitable for large breeds like Labradors or German Shepherds?
Yes — the L and XL sizes are built for exactly these breeds. The thickened nylon straps and hardware are rated for the load. Make sure you measure the chest accurately, as larger breeds can vary significantly — a Labrador might be L or XL depending on build.
How do I put it on?
Loosen all three adjustment points first. Slip the neck loop over your dog's head, bring the side straps around their body, and click the quick-release buckle shut at the chest. Then tighten each strap individually until snug — you should be able to fit two fingers comfortably under each strap, but not more.
