Honest bit. ToyNest™ is a soft-sided felt basket — built for plush toys, ropes, balls, soft bones, the everyday collection. It's not a heavy-duty crate for stacked antlers or hard chews that'll poke through the side. If your dog's toy box is mostly hard rubber and bone, this isn't your basket. How many toys does it hold?
For an average mid-size dog's collection — about 8–12 plush toys, 4–5 rope tugs, a handful of balls, a soft bone or two — comfortably. If your dog is the kind whose toy collection has its own postcode, you may want a second one for "the upstairs toys."
What's it made of?
Soft pressed felt with solid wooden carry handles. The felt is firm enough to hold its shape when full, soft enough to fold flat when empty. The wooden handles are sanded smooth — no splinters near small hands or noses.
Will it sag when full?
Felt has give. Loaded with a sensible everyday toy collection — plush, rope, balls, soft bones — it holds its shape well. If you fill it with stacked antlers and cast-iron weights, physics will win. For the use case it's designed for, it's reliably sturdy.
How do I clean it?
Spot-clean with a damp cloth as needed. Lint-roll for hair (felt does pick up fur — that's the trade-off for the soft texture). Don't machine-wash — the felt and wooden handles won't survive a tumble cycle. Empty and shake out monthly.
Will my dog chew it?
Most dogs treat the basket as part of the furniture and leave it alone — they're interested in what's inside, not the container. Persistent chewers might investigate.
