The DapperPup™ is a structured canvas jacket cut like a proper workwear coat — fold-down collar, press stud fastenings, and a tan leather-look "Classic" patch on the back. The metal D-ring on the back panel clips directly to a lead, so your dog can wear the jacket as both outerwear and a functional harness alternative on short walks. Five sizes from S to XXL cover most small and medium breeds. Three colours — Yellow, Green, and Blue — all in the same clean, structured cut that photographs well and holds its shape through daily use.
Built-in D-ring lead attachment
A metal D-ring sits on the back panel of the jacket — clip your lead directly to it without needing a separate harness underneath. Ideal for small breeds like Toy Poodles, Maltese, Shih Tzus, and Bichon Frisés who are used to a back-clip attachment and don't need a full no-pull harness setup for everyday walks. For stronger pullers, use with a harness underneath and treat the jacket as outerwear only.
Structured canvas outer
The outer is a firm canvas-weight fabric — not flimsy polyester, not a thin fleece. It holds its shape, lies flat on the body, and doesn't bunch or ride up mid-walk. The structured cut means it looks intentional rather than thrown-on — the kind of jacket that gets compliments at the park rather than just keeping the cold out.
Press stud fastening
Two metal press studs fasten the jacket at the chest. They're quick to do up and open — essential when you have a wriggly Pomeranian or Chihuahua that doesn't want to stand still while you dress them. No fiddly zip pulls, no velcro that catches fur, no over-head fitting struggle.
Fold-down collar
The structured fold-down collar completes the workwear-jacket look and frames the back of the neck neatly. Fold it up in cold or wet conditions for a little extra coverage around the neck — useful for short-coated breeds like Italian Greyhounds and Miniature Pinschers who feel the cold more than most.

Sized for small to medium breeds. S fits most Chihuahuas and very small Yorkies. M covers Pomeranians, Maltese and small Shih Tzus. Honest notes
The D-ring is a back-clip attachment, not a no-pull harness. It works perfectly for calm, non-pulling dogs on leisurely walks. For dogs that pull consistently — even small breeds — a proper front-clip harness under the jacket is a safer choice for your dog's neck and spine.
Not waterproof. The canvas outer is splash-resistant for light drizzle, but not designed for heavy rain. For genuinely wet walks, a waterproof dog jacket layered over or instead would be more appropriate.
Sizing runs small-to-true — when in doubt, size up. French Bulldogs and other broad-chested breeds may need to go up a size from their usual. Measure your dog's back length (collar to tail base) and chest girth before ordering.
Hand wash recommended. The canvas fabric and leather-look patch hold up best with a gentle hand wash or cool delicate machine cycle. Don't tumble dry — air dry flat to maintain the jacket's shape.

What size should I order?
Measure your dog's back length (from the base of the neck/collar to the base of the tail) and chest girth (the widest point behind the front legs). S suits Chihuahuas and tiny Yorkies. M fits Pomeranians, Maltese, and small Shih Tzus. L covers larger Shih Tzus and Miniature Schnauzers. XL and XXL suit Miniature Poodles, French Bulldogs, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. When between sizes, always go up — canvas doesn't stretch.
Can I clip a lead directly to the jacket?
Yes — the metal D-ring on the back clips directly to a standard lead hook. This works well for calm, non-pulling dogs like Maltese, Toy Poodles, and Bichon Frisés on short walks. For dogs that pull, we'd recommend using the jacket as outerwear and clipping the lead to a proper harness worn underneath instead.
Is it waterproof?
The canvas outer is splash-resistant — fine for light drizzle and a damp park, but not designed for heavy rain. If your regular walks involve proper downpours, a waterproof jacket would serve your dog better. The DapperPup™ is at its best in dry, cool, or mild weather.
How do I wash it?
Hand wash or gentle machine wash on a cool delicate cycle — the canvas and leather-look patch both hold up well with gentle handling. Don't tumble dry; air dry flat to maintain the structured shape. Most owners find a wipe-down with a damp cloth handles everyday dirt perfectly well between proper washes.
Is it suitable for French Bulldogs?
French Bulldogs can be tricky to fit due to their broad chest and short neck. Slim-built Frenchies may fit XL; broader-chested ones will need XXL. Measure the chest girth carefully — if your Frenchie is above average width for their weight, size up. Note also that the D-ring back attachment is not suitable for Frenchies who pull, as the strain on the throat can exacerbate breathing issues in brachycephalic breeds.
