Is it waterproof?
It's splash-proof for light rain and puddle splashes. Don't submerge it and don't let your dog swim in it — the battery unit is electronic.
How long does the LED really last?
Around 10+ hours on Steady Glow and 20+ hours on either flash mode per charge. Cold weather slightly reduces runtime (as with any lithium battery).
Can I just use the reflective strips without the LEDs?
Yes — press and hold ON/OFF to turn the lights off entirely. The reflective trim still works under headlights day and night.
Will my dog chew it?
The LED strip is sealed inside the harness body, away from the dog's mouth. Most dogs ignore it after the first wear. Not recommended for dogs who chew through collars.
Does it fit under a winter dog coat?
For most coats, yes — but the LED strip will dim through thick fabric. Best worn over a light layer, or on its own.
How do I charge it?
Open the small cover on the chest unit, plug the included USB cable in, and charge from any USB port or phone charger. ~1 hour for a full charge.
