The PawPocket clip-on poop bag holder solves a single, slightly embarrassing problem: standing in a field, two miles from home, with a warm bag-shaped problem at your feet and no bag. The fix isn't to remember the bags. The fix is to never need to remember — leave the holder on the lead, leave a roll in the holder, top it up when you notice it's empty.
The metal carabiner clip attaches to a lead handle, a harness D-ring, a belt loop, or the strap of any dog bag. Inside there's room for one standard poop bag roll (typically 15 to 20 bags per roll). Pull a bag through the dispensing port — no need to unzip every time. Tie. Carry. Bin at the next bin. Move on.
Why a holder beats a pocket-stuffed roll
- The roll lives on the lead, not in your jacket. Different jacket on a warmer day? The bags are already there.
- The roll doesn't unravel. A bag roll loose in a pocket gets crushed, tangled, and shredded. Inside the pouch it stays compact.
- You can dispense one-handed. Lead in one hand, dog standing patiently (or not) at the end of it, free hand pulls a bag through the port. No fumbling.
What's in the pouch — and what isn't
The pouch holds a poop bag roll. It does not contain bags. The first roll you put in is your own — most supermarket-grade poop bags fit, as do any compostable or biodegradable rolls labelled "fits standard dispenser." If your usual brand comes as a flat pack rather than a roll, those work too — just less neat.
The carabiner clip is the size of a small keyring clip — sized for a lead, not a rucksack. It will not take a load-bearing carabiner role. Not for climbing.
Cleaning
Sponge-wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap if it picks up muck on a wet walk. Don't machine wash — the carabiner clip will damage the drum and the canvas/PU finish doesn't enjoy a tumble dry. Air dry. Most owners replace the holder every 12 to 18 months as fabric naturally weathers.
An honest note on capacity: the pouch is built around one standard bag roll. It is not a treat pouch, a phone holder, or a key wallet. There's enough room inside for the roll plus a folded used bag if you can't find a bin straight away — but only just. Treat it as a single-job tool.

If your bags come as a roll roughly 4 cm in diameter and 4 cm tall — the standard size sold by every UK and US poop bag brand we've seen — yes. Earth Rated, Pogi's, Bags on Board, Wuf Wuf, supermarket own-brands, compostable rolls labelled "fits standard dispenser" — all standard. Flat-pack bags work too but sit looser in the pouch.
How does it attach to the lead?
The metal carabiner clip on the side opens with a thumb push — clip it onto the leash handle near the loop, or onto a harness D-ring, a belt loop, or the strap of any bag. Most owners leave it permanently on the lead, so it's there every walk by default.
Are the poop bags included?
No. The pouch holds your existing brand of bags. Supply a fresh roll on day one and top up when it runs out. (We don't ship bags ourselves — most owners have a brand they prefer, and bags add a lot of weight to international shipping.)
Will it stand up to rain?
Yes for showers and the typical wet British walk — the canvas/PU shell is splash-resistant. It is not waterproof; if your dog plunges into a river with the lead attached, expect the pouch to take on water. Most owners just shake it out and air dry.
How long does each one last?
A year to eighteen months on daily walks, in our experience — fabric weathers, the zip eventually catches, the clip eventually loosens. A 2-pack at order time keeps a spare in the cupboard for when the first one needs retiring.
